The price tag on drugstore whitening products may seem attractive. However, professional whitening is safer and more effective than over-the-counter bleaching kits or toothpastes. Over-the-counter products can often cause the following problems:
- Increased tooth sensitivity. Applying bleach to your teeth over and over without assistance from a dentist can be rough on your mouth and make your teeth and gums extra sensitive.
